I knew this was coming:
IBM Aims Watson at the Financial Services Industry
Goodbye compliance, goodbye wealth management, goodbye lots of IBD... Tellers are gone even without it.
Its not just banking though. Goodbye many jobs. How good are you at farming and janitorial services and programing AI systems?
Robots are going to take many jobs in the near future. The best bet is to learn how to work on and program robots. That is until they learn how to maintain and fix themselves.
Then they will kill us off and reign supreme - ala terminator.
I keep reading articles about how we need to prepare kids for jobs in a future that will include robots performing many jobs now done by people. The problem is these articles never go very far in stating what those jobs will be.
I don't think anyone knows the answer to this. Unless you can develop AI patterns I'm not sure anyone knows what humans will be doing in the future. Already we hear that most trading is performed with algos with some human oversight. How much longer will there need to be much human oversight?
Its already eliminated thousands of trader positions. Many more positions going away.
